Windy Day is an excellent example of a well maintained yacht of this vintage. While she has been in charter (always crewed by a licensed, professional captain), she has been meticulously maintained. All of the necessary systems are in top notch condition. She is well suited for Florida’s Gulf Coast with her centerboard. Get the maximum performance with her board down; raise it to anchor in waist-deep water and enjoy exploring your favorite island!
Entering from the aft into the cockpit, we see the slab reefing mainsail in an Easy Cradle with Lazy Jacks, and all running rigging is led to cockpit. Forward is the roller furling head sail. Also included is an asymmetrical spinnaker in a dousing sock. The main sheet/traveler tackle is at the front of the cockpit.
There is wheel steering and standard dual control (both side-mount) for the engine and transmission controls. Also there is a wheel lock, and cup holders on the front of the binnacle guard.
The pushpit (stern rail) has been fitted with perch seats with integral cupholders and cushioned backrests both port and starboard (2010).
The teak slatted seats in the cockpit were replaced in 2018 with starboard slats, with all cushions in good to excellent condition.
There are 2 cockpit speakers for the Bluetooth stereo, as well as 2 on the mast, and 2 down below.
Going below through the companionway is a chart table to port, and a galley to starboard. The propane has been disconnected, and the tanks removed. The stove and oven were operational at that time, but would need to be reconnected to be functional.
Forward amid ships is a folding dining table integrated with the mast compression post. The headliner was replaced in 2016, and the side wall plywood replaced with PVC board in 2016.
There is a Uniden VHF radio.
She also has dripless stuffing box.
The side ports were resealed in 2018, and the acrylic lenses for the deck hatches were replaced in 2017.
